High Availability Clusters
High availability is the ability of a cluster system to keep a data service up and running, even through
a failure that would normally take a single server system down. Clusters maintain a higher level of
availability than single servers by enabling automatic application failover. By allowing other nodes in a
cluster to automatically host workloads when the primary node fails, Sun Clusters can significantly reduce
downtime and increase productivity. Our engineers understand that clients need to balance the cost of downtime
against the cost of any proposed solution and strive to design and architect the most cost-effective solutions
in order to maintain high availability in mission-critical computing environments.
